Number Aging Policy

AT&T maintains a standard number aging pool duration of approximately 45 to 60 days. During this cooling-off period, the number is dormant and cannot be assigned to new customers.

Steps to Reclaim Process

1. Gather all prior account information: Account Number, Account PIN/Passcode, and the exact disconnected phone number.
2. Dial the specific AT&T retention or recovery support number.
3. Request the representative to verify the 'aging pool status' of the specific line.
4. If available, authorize a new line activation or an account restoration using the specific number.

Technical Notes

Postpaid AT&T lines generally have a higher success rate for reclamation within the first 59 days. Prepaid (GoPhone) lines are aggressively recycled, often appearing in the public pool within 30 days of standard expiration.
